The course aims at offering students an understanding of the concepts and decision tools used to handle the issue of foreign exchange risk, embedded into the management of foreign investment projects. After an overview of the foreign exchange market and international parity conditions, the course will focus on the evaluation and management of transaction and operational exposures to currency risk. The course topics are the following: foreign exchange market; international parity conditions; currency derivative instruments; measurement of exposure to exchange rate risk; risk management using derivative instruments.
